Congratulations to Selfsuffice and all the people who've been waiting for an official solo record. Though he's been busy with doing radio, open mics, features, and reinvesting, he's managed to put together a nice recording for all the people who love hiphop. The album showcases so many aspects of rap music, that one can never be unappreciative of the culture again after hearing it. On this record, you will hear freestyling, beatboxing, cyphers, collaborations, live shows, radio guest appearance, radio call in appearance, and many of the other aspects of a young rappers route to becoming a professional hiphop emcee

By the way, congratulations to all the nominees and winners of the 2004 Harford Advocate Grand Band Slam. Although SelfSuffice did not compete this year, he has been invited to perform with the winners and has been nominated to run for next year's competition.
Check out selfSuffice, the Rapoet, at the 10th Anniversary Hartford Grand Band Slam on Thursday, August 5th, 2004 8:00 pm, outside the Brickyard in Downtown Hartford, performing with local super bassist Desron, right before Milo Sheff. selfSuffice will do a couple songs with Desron just after 8:30pm
